- The Old Quarry Branch Library is hosting a free movie screening of the family favorite, Frozen, at 3:30 p.m. on this Friday afternoon.
- Friday is the opening night of the latest bilingual family play from ZACH Theatre, in partnership with Teatro Vivo, Glass Half Full Theatre, and The Kindness Campaign. See Las Adventuras de Enoughie: Un Cuento de Kindness at 7:00 p.m. at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican Cultural Center. The show will feature puppetry to display the power of kindness and teach kids how to embrace the differences in us all. Tickets are $14 for youth and $16 for adults, which you can purchase online.
- Saturday will be the 3rd Annual Snow Day at the Science Millin Johnson City from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The museum will bring in 20 tons of snow, along with a snow catapult, live ice sculpting demonstrations, and more. Snow Day activities are free with regular paid admission, and you can buy tickets online. Tickets are $8.50 for ages 3-18; $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors (65+) and with Military ID. Museum members will get in for free.
- Mama Fu’s Asian House South Park will present Chilis for Charity, a hot chili pepper contest, where five local charities will attempt to eat their way through increasingly spicy chili peppers. The participants will collect their share of a $25,000 prize pool! This free, family friendly event also includes pet adoptions from Austin Pets Alive, samples from Spice Market, and a live DJ.
